hazardous to your education

Years ago, along with Pixie and Casp, I ran a website called Quest: PBM.

One of the things we had on there was an interactive story ... we wrote a chapter, at the end there is a decision to be made, and the reader chooses from two options.  Their choice leads to the next chapter, and so on.  Once they reach the end of everything that’s been written, they can write their own next chapter to progress the story.

Which was cool, and we got a lot of creative stuff written, but there are always idiots.

We started getting abuse posted, we deleted it, but it kept coming.

So Casp did his magic, and traced IP addresses, and linked it back to the provider, who we emailed reporting the abuse.

It turned out to be a Warrington college, and was linked back to Usman .. a guy we all knew.

He was kicked out of college as a result.

It’s fairly clear that my current colour scheme can melt your eyes, but it’s not just your health that’s in danger, it seems my sites can be hazardous to your education too!

I should probably mention that after a few hurried phonecalls from me to the colleage head, we got Usman reinstated.

But that happened 5 years ago, why am I blogging this now?

Because I’ve just started a new interactive story! smile

It needs two things..

It needs some formatting and general css jiggery pokery, but I’ll do that.

It also needs new chapters writing .. and that’s YOUR job!

Here's what some passing idiots had to say

Yay! And only about a year after you said you were gonna do it too!

  • Wow long time yes! I still remember it! Although it wasn’t me! And the only reason I got kicked out was for not telling who actually did do it!

Good old days! I’m alot more mature now though!
