Turkey (no this isn’t the holiday blog, that’ll come soon) is rife with counterfeits, some good, some not so good.
When you work for Trading Standards, you have access to a lot of confidential information from brand holders about how to spot fakes, what to look for etc. This information gets very detailed and complex.
Sometimes though you can rely on instinct… I took the photo shown below at a shop in the town of Oludeniz on the West coast.
Can you spot why I didn’t need to consult our books to know it was fake? ;p
