I used to *love* manic miner when I had a spectrum, it was the ‘best game ever’ [tm]

So I downloaded it for my phone this week.  It cost £4.50, but was worth every penny .. it’s Manic Miner!

It’s 20 years since I played this game, but as I played it again, I remembered most of the little tricks and timings to get through the levels.

Eugene’s Lair (level 5) is a bugger, I can get past the angry toilets easily enough, but keep dying on the .. stuff at the bottom ... but finally I beat it, and ...

… the game ended! .. they’d only put the first 5 levels in the game ... and charged nearly a fiver for it!  the original probably didn’t cost that much!

After a bit of a strop I downloaded a version for my pc, and have been happily playing it for a while now .. can’t get past Eugene’s Lair tho
