Trevor Mcdonald just said of Ellen MacArthur “she’s literally sailed through Hell and high water”.

Either her journey around the world took her somewhere quite unexpected..

Or Trevor and I have different understandings of the word “literally”

Unless Ellen went more than a little off course, to say she “literally sailed through Hell...” is clearly wrong.

But I suspect Trevor’s autocue probably read “hell” rather than “Hell”, which would change the meaning somewhat.

If Trevor is wrong then my faith in the universe will crumble. Hence i must believe he is right and that poor Ellen did indeed sail straight down the River Styx and through Lucifers bedroom.

No wonder the poor girl looks knackered.
