I went to see Spiderman2 on Friday (Claire fell asleep halfway through…!)
As well, I’ve been playing the Spidey2 ps2 game a lot.
It’s just Great fun being Spiderman, swinging through the city, leaping from rooftop to rooftop, and diving off skyscrapers, plummeting earthwards and casting a webline at the last second.
It’s SO much fun swinging around, that I don’t know how the real Spiderman finds time to actually save people in distress.
I guess that’s why he’s a hero, and I’m not. (Other contributing factors: He has superpowers, he lives in a city populated by supervillains, and I’d have to move somewhere with taller buildings ... swinging down Sandbach high Street would just be plain embarassing).
But playing the game, I feel just like Spidey ![]()
A conversation from last night
I went to the cinema last night with Claire and a friend of hers.
I wanted to see Harry Potter 3, they both didn’t.
They wanted to see The Day After Tomorrow, but I didn’t.
Outvoted I reluctantly watched the film with them, they hated it, I quite liked it ![]()
As I’ve previously said tho, I don’t blog movie reviews, this blog is nothing more than an excuse for the return of Monkeys Like Us.

Me and Pixie often have the same taste in tv shows, dvd’s, games etc (all the geeky things). So when I need a second opinion on whether to buy something, I don’t buy a Playstation magazine, I don’t read reviews online, I send Pixie a text saying “Buffy for PS2, g,b or u?” (good bad or ugly).
His advice is usually good, although since the GTA 3 debacle (“more of the same but in 3d” - pfft) I am more likely to ask his advice and then ignore it.
This post isn’t even slightly interesting, but does explain the title to the Monkeys Like Us strip above.
